Tianjin NO 43 High School
Heritage of America and Dr. Jess Nieto have worked and collaborated with numerous projects and programs with the Tianjin No. 43 High School since 1996 when Dr. Nieto visited Tianjin and visited the construction of the new Tianjin No. 43 High School. Dr. Nieto met the Principal Lui, Qin Yong and later hosted Mr. Lui when he and eleven other teachers and principals from the Nankai Education Bureau (District) traveled to Bakersfield with the help of Ellis Wu and Nankai District District a three month educational program with Heritage of America and California State University Bakersfield. Dr. Sheryl Santos, Dean of the School of Education and Dr. Mark Evans, Dean of the Extended University supported the project. President of CSUB Dr. Tomas Arcinienga also provided institutional support and recognition for the program. Several Bakersfield delegations of educators have visited the high school and were very impressed with the school. Ellis Wu and Dr. Nieto have continued collaborating with current Principal Xing Weijing of High School No. 43
